A few of my finds.....

Here are a few coins, a musketball and an old watch I found buried in a glass jar in my mother-in-law's back yard. Sadly the jar had cracked, and the watch rusted to pieces.
The Mercury dime looked like it was minted yesterday. I took the metal detector to my dad's yard, and he said "You're wasting your time." It was the first thing I dug up!

You might be able turn him into a treasure hunter too. Just keep showing him your good finds and THing may turn into a great time to spend together. You never know.

My son just got a cheapie Bounty Hunter from a pawn shop, he found a couple pennies today...and he's hooked.

Got some really old homesteads to hunt this weekend, so here's keeping my fingers crossed!

Keep and eye on your dad he may already have a detector stashed after seeing you find somting like that, I know its got to be hard to resist,, LOL
very exciting find, when things were hidden for some reason, they are cool to discover
