The locket pictured below has always been a favorite find of mine. The fact that a photo survived all those years inside has always amazed me and putting a face to a find is awesome. I entered it in Garretts Favorite Finds and just found out it was a winner! Sorry, I had to toot my own horn a little! I thought it was pretty cool...I normally never win anything!

The only way that find could have gotten any better was if it contained the picture of a beautiful woman. :icon_thumleft:

I agree! I'm thankful for such a great find but it kills me that her picture had faded away.

Great find there Garren.....I have yet to find anything worth mentioning, but I've only been out a dozen times or so. Current coins, but a 1941 nickel was nice, the play money from the 50's/60's era, and a bottle cap from Dog N' Suds. LOL.......

Thanks! That play money is always fun to to dig. I found a play dime once and with the dirt sticking to it I thought I had found a half dime. LOL. Really got the blood pumpin' until I wiped it off!
