I found this coin on Mother's Day at my parents house that was built in 1890. I've searched that same yard a lot but apparently never had my coil over this coin. It pinpointed at 5 inches deep and rang up as a 91-92 solid VDI on my VX3. I have no idea how I missed it until now.

Great Find, and a key date as well!!!:icon_thumleft:

How did you clean it?

Be careful how you handle it and don't do any more cleaning of it and I would put it a good coin holder, it already has some wear and any more damage, improper cleaning or undue wear would bring down it's value even more, in it's condition it is worth at least around $140 if it were graded and maybe more depending it's grade according to PCGS a graded MS 4 is valued at $140, if it wasn't a key date it would be only worth around $34 graded!!

Morgan Dollar (1878-1921)

It is not a Morgan dollar. It is a Barber Half Dollar.
