Been detecting for over a year, but new to this site. Here are a few of my best finds from my own property (home built in 1885). 1935 chauffer's badge, Eagle button, and Postmaster medallion from Germany! I don't really know the significance of the medallion, who would have received them and why? If anybody can shed any light I would certainly appreciate it. Heinrich von Stephan is credited with having standardized the German postal service. Thanks for your interest and for any comments.

I am really diggin that Eagle button. Any Idea what era it is from? Nice finds! If your yard is like mine which it sounds like it is...You will always have a back up spot when you have no new areas at the time to hunt. HH and beautiful finds!

No I don't yet know how old the button is. It's my understanding that they were used on military uniforms over a fairly long period of time, with very little changes.

Cool Finds! :icon_thumleft: That is a really neat chauffeur's badge! I would suggest to use some headphones and go slow and listen carefully for those faint signals. I know I am still finding coins and such in my yard after 12 years of searching.

Thanks OLD DIGGER. You are so right about headphones. The day that I received mine in the mail, I found five wheat pennies! Before that I had only found one. Made a believer out of me. Still no silver, but It's coming.
