This wasn't a detector find, but a creek find on our farm. When I first saw it, I thought it was a natural rock with fossil holes. After closer examination, and some information from folks who know a whole lot more than me, it was determined to be a pendant or gorget. It has incise marks shaped like a cross, but since it's only half there, the theory is it could be the back half of a lizard & they are his back legs and tail. The two lower holes are salvage holes where it broke in half & the 2 pieces lashed back together. There is also an original hole at top the broke out, and a new hole drilled below it. A very unique piece! I found this back in July in mid-Missouri. I won an award for it at an artifact show in Illinois.
