Hard to pick between these 2.... The NC button has some great provenance & the seated dime is a beauty!

I had the coin made into the medallion. With some of the gold I found too! I can't find my original pictures of just the coin. Grrrr, but it's a 1898 $20 coin. SF mint

That silver buckle is really something. I'd love to have that in MY case.

My best find came from a garage sale and wasn't a detector find so... Nothing too much to brag about that came out of the dirt/sand last year for me. I'm liking what i'm seeing from the rest of you though!

In 2013 In 3 different trips I got all 4 world war 2 army jacket buttons. I got them at a beach but before it was a lake there it used to have an old farm. I know ww2 isn't all that old but finding all 4 buttons shocked the heck out of me. I have had numerous people congratulate me being as shocked that I got all 4.

Major battle area for the Civil War / WNA However= The manufacture date on the piece is 1866 Long after all military action had ceased My best guess is it was stashed there , It was wrapped in many sections of Burlap and had oiled cloth . stuck deep in the rock wall ---- looked like it had been tied at one time ----- Not really sure the property it came from has been in my friends family since the CW --- They had no idea who might have placed it there -

This is some of my better coin finds for the year:

Standing Liberty Quarter, type II. I am not sure of the date. I found this in a field. It is well worn and may have been hit by a bush hog a time or two.

1945 Walking Liberty Half. This is one of the first coins that I found for the year.

1875 Seated Liberty dime.

1901 Barber Quarter

1939 Liberty Head Dime (Mercury). I listed this because it is one of the best ones I have found for the year condition wise. The day I found this dime I also found an old coin spill about 15 feet away consisting of another Mercury dime, 3 Silver Roosevelt dimes and 7 Wheat pennies all in the same hole.
