my best find (gold)

1911d 2 1/2 dollar indianhead found with 2 other coins in leather coin purse.
graded ms-62
found 2 other gold coins in the last 3 years.. i dig almost everything and use the all metal mode. 1 gold coin i found was in an old tobacco tin and my md sounded steel, but i dug it anyway.

Nice coins & welcome to the forum from the UK.

I too dig everything so it doesn't mask the good stuff & so it doesn't break up (by the plough) & I end up digging 6 things next year.

When ever I have said this, the normal response is - "depends how trashy it is". Well my answer would be clear it.

Gorgeous finds! If I used all metal in my yard it would look like it was being plowed for this spring's crop by the end of the week!

That is fantastic. I,ve been at at this a long time and have never found a gold coin. Finding a gold coin is at the top of anyone who detects list. Great job.
