I think the ruby is just a stone because some scratches, but the litle stones beside are real diamonds :hello2:

Not all real red stones are ruby-- yours might be a spinel. Though not as valuable as ruby, they can be quite nice. Here's a link you might find interesting:

Its probably a Garnet of some kind, They used a lot of Garnets back then. Did you see the Nat Geo show about the Saxon Hoard that was found a couple of years ago. Most of the stones in it were red Garnets. Its an Awesome find no matter what the stone is!!!
