Dug this last fall but don't think I ever posted it. It's in bad shape but it's by far my oldest silver coin. Don't think I will beat this for age. The hole job in it was horrible.

Great save ! Silver is silver; and in your case .9170 pure. Mexico City mint; "MF" was the assayer. The series ran between 1732 and 1741 Don....

After I dug my old indian head penny with a rusty nail through it I'm starting to wonder if this may have been nailed on a building or something years ago. I heard coins were nailed on houses or buildings for luck.

Never say never! I have two from the 1500s, and that's good, but a guest on my site dug one from the 1300s!
