Here is a message I received on FB from the daughter of the mans class ring I found a couple of weeks ago! Another reason I love this hobby! I asked her if her dad had ever said anything about losing his class ring!! (He passed away a month before I found his ring)
"Oh goodness....my Dad must have told me the lost class ring story 20 times...lol. Of course it was a struggle for him to be able to buy one at all and he hadn't had it very long when it came up missing. He always suspected that he left it on the bathroom sink at school and someone stole it because he said he always took it off to wash his hands. It's always bothered him that he lost it. I guess that why it means so much to us. Crazy as it may sound to some people.... it feels like he is letting us know that he finally found his ring."
