I had never seen a clasp like that either...the first thing I did when I pulled it out of the dirt was look at the clasp. I thought it was junk because I know the clasps on high end gold bracelets have those slide in clasps with little latches. When I felt the weight of it I said to myself "man, this might be good". After acid testing I searched the internet for 24k bracelets and all the ones I found had that style clasp...its Thai Baht gold from the Middle East.

Yes that is why they use this type of clasp on these 24K bracelets and necklaces... the gold is so soft pure, you just bend the clasp to put it on and take it off...

Congrats on the nice find,I found a necklace with the same clasp it weighed 29.8 grams it was so yellow I thought it was fake it ended up being 22k I also found a bracelet and 22k ring no 24k yet.it's a good sign when you see that clasp.

Yeah, the color had almost an orange look to it and I wasn't familiar with that type of clasp...the first thing I did was look for one of those locking clasp and when I saw the S clasp I was afraid it was fake...then I felt the weight and said this thing has to be gold of some karat.
