    1860 to 1879

Here are some of my indians. I found close to 100 last summer. Did manage to find a few rare one's. The 2 you see in coin cases are dated 1867 and 1878. Hope you guys like them. I'll have more once I get them scanned.

    Good luck HH Jeremy.

That is a serious tribe you have there! I am going on a spring expedition to an area where I hope to get some indians. They have been few and far in between here in South Texas.

What's up guys. Thanks for checking them out. Hey Richard I'm the same dude on the dfxonly forum if you didn't already know. I would think they tend to get a little tougher to find in the midwest. I am only 300 or 400 miles away from philadelphia. I live in pittsburgh witch is really old as it is. Makes searching for them alot easier. Good luck stick with it.

Thanks jarman, I'm going to try and get the rest of them up soon. Catch up with you guys here. Then I'll just scan the stuff that I start to find at the beginning of spring. Or when the snow melts. Witch ever comes first.

Nice set of Indian Heads. Soil sure beats them down though, doesn't it... Oh well, at least you saved them from further torture. Way to go.

Yeah the soil here does a number on them. But if I find them in good soil they stay solid and clean nice to. Just hope to find the rare one's in some type of good condition. Other than that it's just the thrill of finding them for me.

    Thanks man take care Jeremy

    Re: 1860 to 1879

Thanks Lonewolf, I almost eclipsed 100 last year. Around 92 I think. I can't recall the exact number but it was in the low 90's. I found about 35 this year already but I won't hit 100 this year. I got close to 50 pieces of silver though instead this year. I had a feeling it might be a silver year for me this year. If you can find over 50 silver coins a year your doing pretty good.

I got about 35 silvers last year though. But got alot more Indians last year than this year. I found a old spot that had around 75 of them in one spot. That helped alot. I would go there and find 10 Indians in one day. This spot is still producing coins. We hit it hard but if you let it sit for a few months and go back after a storm it will still give up one or 2 coins.

Thanks for the replies. I have to get back to detecting. This is my longest break in 4 years. I'm a die hard hunter and will go at the drop of a hat if there's a spot. I'll be back soon with some more cool stuff for you guys to look at.

    HH Jeremy
