Choice Artifacts

Going through some of the better artifacts I have put to the side. The 2 big plate type things you see used to be attached to a horse carriage. One is a 1904 and a 1908. Found that old change purse washed up on a hill after a heavy rain while I was detecting. It was found in between some logs. If I would have dug that don't know if it would have made it. Knife probably would have torn it up. Glad it was on the surface. Always pays to check the surface. I find 100 plus yr old coins on the surface. Pretty regularly to. Always check don't assume it's a screw cap or a rusted pop can top.

Thanks you guys. I work hard for them and walk miles in the woods. Gotta get to all them hard spots to find stuff. Up underneath the brush were past hunters have overlooked.

Excellent finds. I found one of those Bull Durham pendants about two weeks ago myself. Worth $5 on ebay.

Thanks guys. No there was nothing in the purse. I scoured the area to were I found it and not one coin. Yeah I thought I saw one of those bull Durhams to for something like 8 or 10 bucks. No I have only hunted like 2 old churches in my day. All the old spots around here seem to give up something religious. They were real religious back then. Some small area's around here have a good 10 or 20 old churches. So I guess that's why there is such a abundance of religious stuff to be found.
