Yes we have found them through ancestry. We also have talked to a historian that knew the family personally and are waiting on him to contact us back about which family member we should contact. Being a military member myself we are very excited to get this back to his family and are hoping they're as excited to receive them.

You might consider going 'over the top' and have representatives from the local American Legion and/or the Veterans of Foreign Wars participate in the return of the service tag. Was the tag found in the USA?
