Bell ...possibly WWII USN found on Okinawa

Hello all,
New to the forum old to metal detecting. Found this USN bell. The top nut was rusted and fell apart when I dug it out. I replaced it with the newer piece to keep the clanger dong and bell together. Thoughts ?

Thank you. I have seen similar bells on Ebay. The bell I have does not have writing on the top. No marks or manufacture labels. It is iron and appears to be of the same dimensions.
