Got this one a couple weeks ago, a bit crude but still pretty cool. Can't make out the last number in the year but my guess is around 1802 give or take a few years

Nice find - wonder if you soak it in some warm water if the year would be readable? Can't tell if it is rust, mud, etc. Still - super find.

Surface rust, I think. Giving it a 2 month bath in olive oil and it should come off
