I am new to the forum and thought I would share my best find. I was hunting in a creek Yellow Springs, PA, which is where Washington's army camped after the Battle of the Clouds. Initially, I thought it might be a dog's tag, but my wife corrected pegged it as an ID bracelet. After googling the name, I discovered that the owner had passed away in the 1980s. Through her obituary, I was able to track down her granddaughter, who still lives in the area. I got in contact with her and was pleased to be able to return it to her family. It was really great to see how happy she was to receive it. She later told me she intends to pass it down to her granddaughter.

Josh, Congrat's on the find of the ID bracelet. Well Done sir on the return of the bracelet to the owners family. Because of your thoughtfulness this family will now have an heirloom to pass down through their family for generations to come. Folks such as yourself and deeds such as these do our hobby Proud. Thanks for doing the right thing. I know the granddaughter was delighted to have this piece that belonged to her grandmother.

Honourable mention for returning that to the granddaughter. It might not be precious metal, but I’m sure it was better than gold to her!
