Over the years of hunting I never found great volumes of stuff, but unusual things have popped up in my scoop. I'll post some other that I still have.

These are referred to as pop-out coins. Many of these were made at the Panama Pacific Exposition in 1915.
The one I found was made into a stick pin. It was made from a 1912 Barber dime. They do have significant value. The larger coin denominations are usually more valuable, or if multiple coins were used such as in a bracelet.
I understand that you would furnish the coin, and for about 10 cents the vendor would make the coin into what you see. I have heard that some gold coins were used, as well as cents.
It is a very good find!
Congratulations!

Very cool ring!
I've seen some others on the forum before, but they weren't mounted the same way. The others I've seen looked like the dime was just soldered onto plain band. The one you have their the band looks like it was made to wrap around the dime...
WTG!

That's a cool ring! I once found a ring beaten from a silver Washington quarter... you could even see the date on the inside...

not sure what happened to it, though... I sold some silver jewelry a while back, and it may have been in there...
