Found in North Charleston during Hurricane Florence. I'm not sure what the other items are...any idea on the red material? This is a British axe, (with no poll).
A Very Early Design, dated about 1600's.....!

"a Museum of Early American Tools" by Eric Sloane
I urge you to make it part of your library...!

Agree with early ax! Electrolysis would do wonders on that piece.

Don’t get me wrong I love your finds, but hunting during a hurricane seems a little hardcore. :headbang:

I love axe heads, I think I have a problem

I've got a small collection of them myself and they're still fun to turn up! Not sure why...

A couple of the triangular shapes a lead weights I think. You have some pottery from colonial. The top piece looks like maybe a shackle pin? BTW, the red is just rust

I love axe heads, I think I have a problem
So does a buddy if mine. He spends a fair amount of cash on old broad axes that are no less than 12" in blade length.
