Hello, I usually don't post much, but I never quite got over how excited I got when I checked with some token enthusiasts and they told me what I had found.

We received permission to check an old area not far from where I live and we pounded that place to death. Regardless, the area was very large so I kept going back, and in February I found a neat looking token with the name "L. DeHatre."

It turns out Louie DeHatre owned a diner next to St. Louis Lambert Field Airport, and during that time a young Charles Lindbergh would visit there during his stay in St. Louis.

I'm not sure what the value is on something like this, but to me it's a once-in-a-lifetime find and I consider it priceless!

Check out the link below that gives a little history about Louie DeHatre and his diner.

The style of the above token pre-dates Louie DeHatre's diner...records from 1893 show he ran a saloon in Bridgeton, when he was 43 years old. The token may have been used earlier than 1920, but it is known he met Lindbergh when he became a frequent customer at his diner during the 1920s.
