I'm a land detectorist but looking at what can be found on the beaches has suddenly got my interest.

Re: ENGLANDS GOLD RESERVE IN ONE LONG SUMMER

Thanks for that Lensey (Chico) but believe it or not i am an inland mud lark however when i can't get permission or the fields or in crop i like to detect my local beaches as i never detect without permission

I mainly use my scoop waist high but there are plenty of gains on the sandy beaches to

Just remember rings will fall of on the beach when people are covered in suntan lotion and an equal number will drop into the sea when hands shrink in the water.
Rings and chains will settle where they fall due to the nature of being hollow so in between the breakers is a good spot

However as coins are solid they will flip over and wash up to the top of the beach, so when you find one you will normally find them all sitting in a line along the top
I know this sounds to good to be true but think of the sea as a filter and use a bit of logic then you get your rewards

Having said all that give me a field of relics and a flask of hot chocolate any day
