I must confess...

This was a find from years ago... and is still my best find. :P

J/k... anyway... I am an "armchair detectorist" anymore... I just sit back and watch you guys find stuff these days.

I have been on a hiatus from detecting due to "life"... its not been about "wanting to"... its been about "time to".

Free time to detect has been seriously lacking and too many projects going on at the same time that need tending.

I think my best find of the year was this trime I found (and posted) on Tuesday! I'm planning on putting in a lot more time detecting this year (and spending less time at unproductive sites) so hopefully 2021 will be even better... I look forward to seeing what everyone finds this year!

It would have to be my 1783 Nova Constellatio.
I never expected this one in a million years!

I'm blown away with what people find. 2020 brought me these two pieces. Sorry Terry, I like them both:) 2021 should be even better. I have been posting things on a local history Facebook page. It should lead to lots of permissions this spring. You all might look to see if your town has anything simular. I am seeing pictures of my area that I never would find anywhere else. Have a great year!!!! Screenshot_20210103-031548.png Screenshot_20210103-031640.png

I just started getting into treasure when me and my family went on a vacation to Alaska. Luckily, I brought my metal detector with, because I found what I think is silver nuggets. I don’t know for sure though, so if anyone knows, please lmk. But this is my best find in 2020.

My very first gold coin and Union breast plate top the list. The coin is in the banner box up top but slid to the right with time. I've got a few other super duper finds from 2020 I never got to posting. I'm meaning to do a 2020 wrap up but just now got some saflips coin flips. Now I have to get the coins from the bank box which is tough with covid. I went the other day, full staff but they said they didn't have the correct staff to open the box lol. One day here soon. I've actually never seen my collection altogether and forget what I have anymore. The digging is the fun part, then I just throw the stuff in the box n forget about it. As you take the memorable ones out you get that rush and remember where it came from.
