2 Best Silver Finds of '07

Had a chance to reflect back on '07 -- silver are always my favorite finds (seeing as gold doesn't show up too often)...Here are my two favorite silver finds of '07 -- top silver non-coin find and top silver coin find...first is early 1900s hair pin with big purplish stone found at the site of an old amusement park that has been well hunted. It was very close to the surface. Thing that makes this extra cool is the patent date you can see on the back is Aug 13 (1907) -- which is my wife's birthday, different year of course :-), and since I found it in 2007 it was exactly 100 years. Favorite silver coin find was this 1908 Barber half. Thing that made this cool is I targeted this new area at an old site, horse race track, and figured because of where it was, it should have some good targets, then boom, I hit this 1908 almost immediately. killer finds! for some reason i dont remember that brooch. it looks like a heavy piece of silver from the picture!
