1787 Conn. Copper & 1803 1-Reale

These are my 2 best coins. The Conn. Copper is ID'd as a M33-1-z-19 rarity-5. Both were found at the site of an 18th century Tavern which is now an appt. house. Nice history here as in the town archives George Washington actually stayed here. This site has yielded numerous relics and several large cents also. Both coins gave strange signals and the Conn. Copper was over 10" down and was on edge. Glad I decided to dig as I could have passed this one by! Enjoy and HH. Todd

Nice finds!! I have a 2 Reale I found in a yard of an old tavern.. also with references to GW staying there on his way to the baths at Berkley Springs WV... my Dad and I were digging it.. he had already been there a couple of times.. I got a ear ringing single about 3" in the ground in the edge of the drain field lines for the septic field!!!! Out popped the Reale!! The really cool part is.. it was about 4 or 5 feet off the stone wall separating that yard from my yard!! Sooo close yet sooo far!!!
