The C.S. plates are gorgeous. That Louisiana is great, and the crude little oval just whistles Dixie.

What sort of round is that lodged in the breast plate?

That is a 44 cal pistol round.

WOW - The only Confederate Plate I ever found was a broken Drummer Boys Plate - any one of those would be phenominal finds of a lifetime. Congrats!

That pretty much was my answer. Some will look their whole life and never find one of those plates, mainly thinking of that CS. (and that's serious relic hunters who hunt in the right areas)
