    Barn Key and parts

    here is a barn key from a 16th century barn site in New Hampshire along with some other misc, from same site. I know there was a thread on preserving iron objects, what was used to do so? naval jelly?

    Nice relics ,never seen such a key.Love to hunt for relics.Looks like your site may hold even more nice finds.HH

    I use4 some steel wool to remove all the loose rust, then i use parrafin wax or wd40 or naval jelly or other things to preserve it, Nice artifacts
