My family and I took a 2 week vacation to whidbey island and we just got back. Needless to say my brother and I metal detected nearly every day that we were there. We pulled up more keepers in these 2 weeks than we had in the previous 4 months combined. The first picture is all of the clad that we found, which totaled at over 600 coins. The next picture is of the 5 silvers dimes we found. The 3rd picture has the 2 silver quarters we found, 2 war nickels, buffalo, and irish penny. The next picture is of our indian head pennies, rarer date wheats, and older canadian pennies. Following that is of the rest of the wheat pennies we found while there. The next 2 pictures are of all of the silver jewelry we found. Following that are the foreign coins and tokens. And last but not least the toy cars. Also unpictured are other random finds such as bullet casings, cheap jewelry, sinkers, etc. We are more than ecstatic over these finds and hope that we can find more spots at home like the ones we found on whidbey. We had a great time, and hope you enjoy looking at what we've found. All of these finds can also be found among various posts in the "todays finds" forum. Happy hunting everyone

Whidbey Island is in the Puget Sound in the state of washington, it is fairly big and should be easy to see from a map

My hats off to both you and your brother. I love reading about successful hunts. The only way your post could of been better is if you had added a few pictures of the area you hunted in. Again great finds. Jeff

I would like to know if you found that mans silver wedding band on Double Bluff. I have been searching for it in the mornings in hopes of finding it. My pops lost it 15 years ago. He passed away this year and I am searching for it for my mother. We are locals here on Whidbey. If it was not found on Double Bluff then I will keep looking for it. It was his original wedding band to her and it broke his heart when he lost it. Please respond and let me know. I need to know if I should keep looking. Thank you for your time.

Awesome collection of finds! How many hours of detecting did you put in? Looks like the area hasn't been hunted much over the years.
