    My best Dovetail

Dovetail made of Harrison County Chert also known as hornstone, found April 1 2006 (April fools) Hancock County Indiana. size 2 7/8" x 1 3/8". No damage on this relic which exhibits basal grinding with good patina overall; no beveling of this Early Archaic relic suggesting it may of been lost not too long after manufacture. Note the small straight spokeshave on one edge near the hafting area.
