Hi; Here are some of my favorite brass things it's amazing what you can find after spending nearly 40 years scrounging around the bottom of the ocean ... bell 006.jpg

Hey double hose, do you dive a double hose now or is that how you started out?

Yes I have an old working doublehose regulator , and a 1952 vintage steel tank and an old wet suit. Although I don't use this often I will take the old kit out a few times in shallow waters for a traditional dive something like taking the '57 chevy for a spin on a Sunday. old bob.JPG

Very neat finds! I like the bell and the portal with the glass.

The porthole is from a sunken oil tanker ,the bell I found in a part of Halifax Harbor known at the North West Arm . Now it is the home of the area's wealthy, but 100 years ago it had a different uses, rowing clubs and small business like a marine scrapyard there is no sign of it on shore, but underwater there are still remains like that little bell, a few nice bottles and some neat old ship's deadeyes . It was a favorite fall and winter divesite ...
