This is a button that has always made me think it was something special, l found it detecting on farmland last year and have never been able to find another one of this type. First of all its made of Aluminium and has no backstamp to indicate anything at all. there is a sign of it having been guilded. its 22mm in diameter and only weighs 1.5 grams. l just feel it has a lot of age. any one out there any thoughts please. Hutch.

Queens crown and fleur de lis, who predominantly used those symbols in your part of the world?
I'm not really up on those symbols myself, just thought I'd throw it out there,
as maybe it would spark a thought in anothers' brain. Cool and GL.

A little digging around, I find the term "Livery button" for prisons dept, and a naval crown one. One was on Etsy and the other ebay, (I think). I did a yahoo search using "crown and triple fleur de lis button" and switched over to images, to see the pics. Hope that may help.
