My jadite depression glass collection (obsession)

I've talked about my collection before but didn't know how to post. Well I just learned and here some of it is! I've been collecting since 2002. I buy mostly at yard sales and flea markets. I don't buy chipped unless it's under a buck. I do have some rare pieces but the fun lies in finding something super rare for next to nothing. The pieces that hold the most value to me are the ones that my mom gave to me before she passed. I didn't appreciate them before that so when someone I love gives it to me now it really means a lot to me.

That must have been rare. I've read books and been out there a lot and I've never seen one. Jadite is interesting because there are so many oddball pieces-like the spoonrest- and us collectors pay the most for the items we can't easily find.
Sometimes I watch items on ebay and it's unbelievable what they sell for. I have to stop myself and think about the fact that I don't like paying more than 5.00 at target or wal-mart for a dish and in reality that is all I have. Dishes. But I can't seem to stop. That color drives me crazy!

Yeah it was a rare one.One thing that made it so valuable was that it still had the original sticker on it. I think my little brother has a piece of jadeite on ebay right now.Sad to say though I wouldent recomend buying from him though. :P good luck with your collection, there's alot of good deals out there I'm sure.
