I had another thread posted with some musket pictures, and a couple of other folks made some comments and inquiries on them, so instead of adding more to that post that wasn't really relevant to it, I'm putting some pics up here, and going to post a link to it :icon_sunny:

These are some of my Civil War pieces. I've got at least 1 musket, or rifle from every was the US has been involved in, with the exception of the later full-auto only arms. If anyone wants to see anything else, I'd be glad to post more pics, and glad to answer any questions.

Thanks.....I hadn't checked this thread in a while, so didn't realize it had gotten some replies. I picked the Spencer up in North Carolina. The guy that owned it had the soldiers service records that carried it, and gave me copies of them. Turns out the soldier deserted and took the Spencer when he did, which is the reason it never got any of the arsenal upgrades, and is still in it's original configuration. The US Govt., sent him a bill for his Spencer, Revolver, Sword and belt.

That's a remarkable collection you have there  I've got a Lyman replica of the Zouave that I bought back around 1974 or 5 and I fire it at least several time every year, when I first bought it I went deer hunting with it and did get me a 4 point buck with it. That was before we even had a regular muzzle loading season here.
