Thought I would share a few pics I took today while out walking in the woods with my husband. We had a great time being out and spending time with mother nature
Really a beautiful time in the forrest. We are having a drought here Georgia we don't expect such a beautiful fall spread as you have here. Enjoyed these pictures.
My Mother told me today she and a friend were going to take a drive to somewhere to eat chicken and waffles and look at the foliage. I had no idea you were that far along in your area!
I love this time of year, my favorite season! The mountains are so colorful and pretty. I took so many pictures and all I can say is Thank Goodness for digital camera's
Wes, (and anyone else that lives close by) if your in the neighborhood on Oct. 18th, you should come by the fire company for our cash party. $10.00 at the door will get you 30 chances to win some cash and all the food/beer/soda you can eat and drink from noon until 5pm.
Here's a few more pics of the mountain foliage ... Most of the brown on the ground is because of the lack of rain and warm temps we have been having. Alot of this should be green yet.
Wish I could be in the area on the 18th. I imagine you have a lot of good eats and if it's like some other events I've been to in PA over the years I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun. However, probably won't be back that way until Thanksgiving.
Beautiful, my favorite time of the year. Fall foliage is late here this year, we are also in a local drought, so not sure how the color will be, but it is maybe only 30% so far, too much green yet and way too warm.
Don, I was in NJ a few weeks ago (Ocean City) for the weekend and the colors had just started turning then, mostly to a yellow color. I bet it will be even more beautiful once all the colors start popping out. I had a great time at the Casino, even though I won $100.00 I still down 26.00 in the end LoL Not bad for only 3 hours of play time.
The Board Walk and Beach were awesome, except I didnt see anyone MD'ing
Wes, were doing another Cash Party in April (the 18th) Keep that date in mind We do to a year, every April and Oct. these are our big money fundraisers. Without these 2 days, we'd be in trouble as far as funding goes.
Halfdime, I will be out with the camera in a few weeks and will have updated pics. I love this time of year. Cool, Crisp weather and the smell of leaves burning. Taking a walk in the woods is just so peaceful. No traffic noises and no phone service, it's an awesome place to hide out
