Neat photo, the hummers usually are gone here in southern NJ by around September 22nd.. Return around April 22nd give or take a few days. :)

I've read that you do not interfere with their migration by leaving a feeder out. They will leave if it's time. I've left mine out year-round. Yes, I live in California but I'm in the far northern part. I've had hummers around on near-freezing days before. If you enjoy watching them, go ahead and leave it up.

I leave my feeders out until the first hard freeze, and then I put them back out about the first of March
