Sorry,I just have to respond to some of these shallow comments.
KAS: to suggest that the question here is one of color smacks of racism.
The only colors that are important in this discussion are Red, White and Blue , colors to which your man
gives no evidence of respect. He is an admitted socialist whose best friends are marxist. His agenda is
to further attack the Constitution and it's protections of free speech, the right to vote in secret, to bear arms
among other things not yet announced.

I have read the Constitution Gilmerman, you might read it again to refresh your knowledge of our God given rights that are under attack, so you recognize them as they are taken away one by one in the next 4 yrs.

Good idea Oroblanco. I have looked at the last eight years and while I don't know what you see, I can only remark on what I see. I am no fan of george bush, but I thank God that he was president on 9-11. Radical islamic terrorists have been killing americans since the blowing up of the marine barracks when Reagan was president. Under Clinton we were hit many times, the first world trade center, embassies, the Cole and all he did was to instruct Reno to call the cops. Bush on the other hand, ordered our incredibly brave armed forces to search out and kill these savages anywhere in the world they can be found. This is why we have
not been hit in the past eight years, thank you Mr. Bush. Thanks is also given to the congress led by Reid
and Pelosi and their elected lackeys who have given us this economic disaster via their mortgage scams
and refusal to help solve the energy crises. This congress apparently thinks it makes sense to spend $700
billion dollars per year buying oil from foreign sources, who are not our friends, rather then keeping our
dollars and jobs here by solving our energy needs via drilling, nuclear, clean coal, natural gas etc. Oh yah
as I recall Bush tried to get some control over the mortgage scams, but could not overcome the protests
of Reid, Pelosi and those in charge namely Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, and those benefiting from funds from
fannie mae etc including one major person named Obama.
Yep, the last eight have been memorable and painful. You might give them an honest look Oroblanco.

Now this has me thinking..

How can someone die for a FLAG? I would be ashamed if I died because of a flag.

Mrs. O I think there is often more then black and white...

I think such nationalism is rare these days, at least I don't see much of it. :icon_scratch:

If we are talking about shallow, it’s shallow to create a new member name and hide your real identity…either you really are new member and just stumbled onto the Treasure Net forum to talk politics? (in that case I’m sure there are plenty of other forums for you to interject on) or you are a member who is to scared to show his real identity when talking about these controversial subjects. Shallow? At least I know where the rest of these men stand, instead of hiding who they are…

…colors that this man does not respect? Socialist? The current government bail out scheme IS the definition of socialism, think about it. (Government bails out private corporations, in turn taking huge preferential shares in their stock)…how come no one is prancing around and calling Bush a Socialist??? How is Obama socialist? Because FOX news told you so?

God given rights under attack??? Once again are you freaking serious…your rights went out the door with the introduction of the Patriot Act a long time ago. Once again this past administration has done more damage to our rights then anyone else in history! Illegal detention, wire taps and the list goes on…

An honest look at the past eight years…hmm let’s see, Bush takes presidency when the country is running an unprecedented surplus…and drives it into the biggest deficit this country has known(your children if you have any will thank you for that). We have one war to hunt terrorists (ok I’m all up for that) but even though we know the person we are hunting for is still in Afghanistan we invade/liberate Iraq while looking for WMD which we don’t find. So we pull the much needed troops out of Afghanistan when they are actually making progress and send them to Iraq (reversing any headway we made in Afghanistan), our allies either laugh at us or despise us almost irreparably damaging our international sphere of influence…our phones are tapped, people are detained for years without due process, Bush chokes on a pretzel…it’s been a blast!

:icon_pirat: Although I disagree with your methods, Many of my brothers in arms and I defended your right to make an a$$ of yourself. Your display is disrespectful and just shows your ignorance of respect for those who fought and died to give you the right to protest. We fought and many died defending that flag and the ideals she stands for. You can find another way to show your distain and fear of the administration without disrespecting your former soldiers and your nations symbol. It seems that many of todays protestors don't know how to protest something without showing disrespect for the ones who gave them those rights. If you want to show your ignorance go ahead. I hope someone who has the other extreme values does not see that flag. Think about it!
You can protest without dishonoring the very people who gave you these rights.

Take your political ranting to that forum. And before passing judgement on the man let him go to work

Shameful to degrade the flag so, especially if you don't even know what the outcome will be.

My last comment on this subject. Why can't these angry Rupubs keep this political crap in one place.

I also agree that its dis-respectful, but then again this nation elected an individual that openly admitted attending FLAG BURNING PARTIES, THINKS OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM IS RACIST, AND WILL NOT EVEN SALUTE OUR FLAG, AND WORSHIPS WITH A MAN THAT PREACHES "GOD D_A_N AMERICA". I don't know about ya'll, but thats a pretty hard slap in the face to me.

Its not about him being black or white, "BUT IS HE AMERICAN OR NOT"

Wow,
I glad to see such healthy voice to my posting........
Reminds me each day, that deep down...when each of us pulls off our onion skins...how much we really love this Country.

My posting is how I honestly feel and view this Country today...it's not a slap against our Military...or those who fought for her and those who paid the ultimate price for upholding our constitutional rights. It's to show how those rights you and others have fought for are being taken from us, it's the ultimate way to say this Country is in distress and isn't living up to what all of those who have sacrificed for...

Racially, ethnically motivated...I'm done with that lame response, yes it was part of our history and always will be, long after you and I are gone...and yes deep down does it still exist...yes. but that's not the reason for my post either.

Do I vote...do I care that I have a vote...you bet your arse I do, but I do care about if it really matters much anymore, I do see signs that our voting system is in jeopardy of being influenced don't you? ACORN? doesn't concern you? it should...it's now firmly planted.

Bush, I'm not a fan of his either, but I do respect the position of President, he made some poor choices but he made some very difficult but good ones, he started something that should have happened long before he ever came to office, he acted on it instead of burying his head in the sand...

it is not the same Country as what our flag once stood for...This Country is in distress...and I'm not ashamed to see the flag fly as such, I believe in everything she stands for and respect her and will fight for her, just as the flag that flies below her says...so it is my daily view and my right...one that someday soon may be put to the test.

I appreciate all your points of view...and God bless America. (I'm not religious, but I can respect it's use when it comes to use in this Country)

This is a post I can agree with. Well said - and I wish I said it instead... nicely done.

I understand your ferver to do something in protest... but it's just as dumb as hanging a likeness of Sara Palin and saying it's "just a holloween decoration". IMO

Don't EVER lump me into the "group" that disrespects our Military or my Nations symbol. ie. example (Obama)
You talk of ignorance and disrespectfulness...for the way I view our Flag today.
So your OK with our Country and the direction she is heading? this is how you thought it would be?
...then talk to me of ignorance...

Personally... NO, I am NOT kay with the "country" as it is!

But I am okay with the flag, and the country she represents, the one I served faithfully for over 24 years, and the one I know can return with the right folks at the wheel. It's been heading into the toilet for a long time under GW and will IMO (based on Obama's history) will get worse.

At least you're not pissing on the flag... that's a good thing.

It is distressing to see our flag in that position.
Sad.
Those mercenary, greedy, bucket mouth tards have wrecked our land for their own personal benefit.
It's a shame.

I don't know why some people are prone to taking more than they need.
Here in the land of milk and honey, we got it all!

Had it all.
Now it's all under severe control.

I'm sorry you feel so badly.
It wasn't supposed to be that way. Here.
In the land of the free and home of the brave.

the rights we now enjoy? you mean the ones that are slowly and continually being destroyed from the Enemies Within?
I'll tell you what Rusty, your pissed?
You better start reviewing your Constitution Rusty..........and be prepared to loose some more of those rights Jan 20th.
Then get back with me.
I'm glad your pissed...so am I.

The Patriot act...Love it. Only the ones who have something to hide need worry.
