Ahoy Y'All,
Well, let's see. Our boats have all been rather large. Our sailboat was a 36 foot Cal. (the black one in the pictures) Then we had a 34 foot Sea Ray at the same time. That way we could run somewhere fast or sail there slow. The best of both worlds. Before that we had a 52 foot Harker Islander. Before that we had a small 40 foot Chris Craft Connie. We have also had several other boats over the years.
White Feather is our latest boat. She is 57 feet and in very good shape. The name was given to her by her first and only other owner. She will keep the name as long as we own her. Why irritate the Sea Gods and cause problems we don't need? White Feather was used in a Playboy spread about Houseyachts and traveling the Keys in the February 1970 issue. Yes, we have the magazine issue. We intend to travel the islands of south Florida and look for burried treasure on many of the Ten Thousand Islands and in the depths of the waters around the coasts of the entire coast from the Mexican border up to New England. No scheduled stops or destinations other than where we decide to go. When? Whenever! Maybe we will take a few friends along from time to time. She is a very big boat with three cabins and two baths with showers and a bath tub. We are putting in a washer & dryer and several other homey things. We will also upgrade to a 15KW and install a watermaker and anything else the wife wants. The heart problem reminded us that if we don't do what we want right now we may not get to do it. No one is promised tomorrow.
here are some pictures, enjoy today.......
