I've driven that ol' mother road from one end to the other before there were any interstates.I sure miss it.I hate the inetrstates.I can still see the signs,'eat and get gas'.

Road down her too, with my folks years ago.
I have a pic standing by a 'hugh Jackrabbit', with my Flat top, & white t-shirt,(in the 50's). ;D

Is that the road to Radiator Springs? Sorry I've seen the movie one to many times ;D I loved when I was little girl my grandmother would take road trips they were fun all those road signs and places to stop and see they were all within a days driving!

I am 18 miles east of I-40 exit 53 . On the way to Hackberry .The Flyin' J is about 16 miles west on 66 .The TA is at exit 48 I-40 .

WSD is right, a person could have a better life keeping off those interstates.

My kid just left CA for Charleston. He built a car for his Navy buddy, who came to get it over Christmas. I tried to talk him into Rte 66 for the trip, but they had other plans.

Ha! Ha! They had a glitch in the matrix after about 10hours on the road.
He called on his cell... He says, Dad, it's really cold here. Ice on the road and a cople inches of snow off to the side. I asked, Where you at?

He says, About 37 miles before Williams, AZ. ;D

He's learning...

well, he is correct...it is snowing again.
37 miles east of williams is just about where we had that hundred car pile up last year. wicked little storms like that area.
