A motorcycle is without doubt the best way to explore the desert.
Inexpensive & reliable.

Seems we've got a stable of screamers here now, but I'd advise you look for an old Honda 200 xl.
Maybe they got a bit more than 5hp, but really cheap to operate and very good on trails.

Bigger ones generally end up going too fast and tearing stuff up...

Burros are not wildlife, they are ferrel animals. In many areas where they run loose they destroy the food for deer, nesting birds and other wildlife. In some areas they are as bad as any pest, over populate and cause damage to crops and property. Another one of man's schemes gone awry. Monty

These burro's are " Protected " wildlife here. The city was going to get rid of them, that's when they found out if they do anything except leave them alone. They would be in DEEP trouble with the feds...
