Great pictures partner. Thanks for sharing them. Looks like you enjoyed yourself. I love to walk around that type of area. Being raised in Louisiana, I find any setting that doesn't have swamp or water interesting. I could look around a place like that for hours.

Thanks Capt, when we aren't detecting, we are usually in the Mts enjoying Nature.

nice pix, beautiful day to be out exploring. I have the pics you previously posted of the concretion as my wallpaper on my 'puter. think the snake skin was a rattler?

Hi Mamabear, long time no hear, i thought you had left us. :'(
Glad you liked the pic of the concretion, the snakeskin was most likely a Rattler, I have heard of 7 footers, & have seen
a 6 footer in this country.

Wow, fossis, reading about the country around you with the bears, lions and all that wildlife sounds like heaven. I was
raised in the woods up North and it's not wild around here and I still miss it. It must be really great to have it right there at your door step. It would be great to be able to spend hours wandering exploring wild country like that.

Thanks again for sharing.

I have always felt 'blessed' to have been born in this area, I've been in 36 states, Canada & Mexico, but there's no place
like home.
Most of my family migrated west during the 'Dust Bowl & Depression', I'me just glad we came back, I've spent my entire life
in this area except for a couple years in Ca, & VA in the Military.
Even though I'me not rich, I have had the 'Richest life' I could ever ask for roaming these hills & valleys, every day is a new
adventure, & I hope I have many more.

Great view you've got there. The rock concretion is very cool. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Thanks, we went to another mt today to try & fetch one home with a litter, but I think someone must have found it,
we couldn't locate it.
There were some that I couldn't haul in my little 'Ford Ranger'.

Fossis.............

Guess its time for a bigger truck. ;D
