It's that time of year, better not name them if they are to be butchered. :tongue3:

Fossis................

lol we had that problem growing up on the farm. Sandie always named hers sundance or romeo or treelanner or something. Barb and I named our animals steak or porkchop or something to that effect. Hard not to get attached to an animal you bottle feed and raise...Sandie never did get to where she could handle it.

Update...

Thanks for all the comments.

They're twins and they're thriving. Still a lot of work with the momma but she getting the hang of it now. No more head locks and tying her feet. Before each feeding time, I either rub a fabric softener sheet over them or spray Odoban on the calves so they smell just alike. Everything is working out ok, it just takes time. Hopefully in about 2 weeks I will be able to turn them out together.

Babe says pine straw is pretty tasty

Lordy me, what a job with these two, Binky decided no more sweet feed for her, she likes chopped corn mixed with hen scratch. Babe & Abe are eating sweet feed and still loving their milk. I've still have them separated from Binky, so they will both be good & hungry to nurse at the same time. They're enjoying the free time, romping and kicking around and discovering so many new things.
