"Garden of the Gods" & "Indian Kitchen", Illinois

These photos were taken last fall when we went hiking with some friends that live in southern Illinois. It was cold and drizzly but we had a really nice time seeing the sites. I was so bundled up I felt like an Eskimo!

The ones from Garden of the Gods show some of the cool rock formations along the trails.

The last two are of the top and bottom of Indian Kitchen.

Thanks for lookin'..............Kathy

Hi Kathy.
These are some great shots. I like the ones that are looking down off the cliffs.

In Colorado Springs there is also a place called 'The Garden Of The Gods'. We spent a couple days at a campground
next to it while on vacation one year. There was a riding stable there and we rented some horses and rode through
it. Boy! what a ride that was. Loved every minute of it.

Thanks for sharing your good times. I really like that kind of scenery.

Great pics Kathy. That's about 125 miles south of me and I haven't made that trip (yet). Seems whenever I jump on the scoot for a ride we end up following the Mississippi and it never leads us there! ;D

Yeah, you have to go there! The trails are so nice for hiking, it's a really well cared for park.

We'll have to do some more exploring when we get back up that way in April. Will be sure to post some more pictures then.
