Took a scouting trip on the Santa Fe last weekend. Unfortunately, the current flood conditions made the water fast and reduced the visibility to nearly zero. The pic with the bridge was taken about 3 weeks ago and shows normal level and visibility. We did see a lot of critters. Otters, a gator 'if you look closely on the rock' and turtles.
Hopefully the water will clear soon so we can dive.

Cool pics, Sundancer. Them otters look ready for another round. Looks like a great place to set out limb lines and run them all night.

Thanks guys! The little otters were sleeping when we drifted by.. we'd given up on finding gravel and holes in the limestone and were fishing. That pic of them looking at me was just before we beached and I zoomed in all the way. They hissed and got mad. :-) The pic of the den is one of them heading home. Oh, BTW, I DID pick up that Coors bottle. NOT mine... I'm a Bud Lite guy 100%.

Good pictures. I have yet to see a wild otter. Glad to hear i'm not the only one who lugs home other peoples garbage from the woods.
