morn t...
the oldest carving i have found on those trees is 1917...or at least it is the oldest readable date...i imagine the carving is around 60 years old..
now that hand print is 900bp...the paint you refer to as a map is a big question..it is in association with the others..yet....there are those hoof prints...sure look like horse...
i followed what i thought that map represented one day...found myself high up that mountain...great view...
the wind picked up last night...so i might not go up today...lightening and wind are problems up there.

Too cool! Does the altitude bother you? I've been here at 9100 for 5 years, and I still have old people zoom past me on the trail. I mean really old folks, not merely old like me.

i need to get above 10,000 for the altitude to bother me...i do have problems when i go below 4,000...i feel a like i gain a hundred pounds...

and it wasn't old people who embarrassed me off the trail...two pregnant ladies...each with a new babe in backpacks...one toddler one 4 year old...passed me...i jumped off the trail and used the excuse i was going cross country to account for my Tortuga like movements.. :tongue3:

i mean really...

They were just in better shape! After running around all day taking care of toddlers they're in good enough shape to place at least third in a marathon ;D

my avatar is a representation of a kachina...hopi spirits....they have a kachina for all occasions.
it in no way represents the devil...or anything evil...just a kachina dancing on the mountainside...the hopi believe this mountain to be sacred, home of the kachina.
