Thank You Granny. I like those kind of shots also, but I also love colors, so we all get different shots in here from me. All of these pics were taken from 4:30 pm. to 9:30 pm.....NGE

No, not in the woods, they were on the upper veranda of the building in pic #7. titled; musicians on the veranda. I was out on the right wing of the dock and happened to see them. The only way to get on there is out the window in the ladies room. Because the door leading to that area is padlocked. The little chickies didn't know their pic was being taken, so one of the ladies listening to the music from down below, went up to the ladies room and cranked the window shut. No one is supposed to be out there anyways. Don't know how they got back in, but from what I understand, they were there till the cops came and let them back in :laughing9:..........NGE

Cool pics, NGE. Don't look like many folks wear boots up there. What is the 'chrome' setting? This is where I learn about cameras, so that someday I might be known for a couple of pictures instead of my bad reputation.

It is listed in my camera's menu under Finepix color. There are 3 different settings there, one is: standard, 2. is, Chrome, and 3. is Blk. & White. What it does is it accentuates the least color in your picture, say like you are taking pics of flowers, it makes them shine like the chrome on a car bumper or chrome rims, sorta adds flourescence or brightens certain colors. It is a very neat effect. I don't know if other brands of camera's offer this in their menu's or if they do, they may call it something else..........NGE P.S. I will take some comparison pics today and post them here.

Thanks. I don't have that on my camera, at least by that name. I am able to go in and adjust contrast and color saturation on it and then pop off 3 shots in about a second at different exposures, and then see which looks best. And a whole lot of other functions. Post some more pics using that chrome.

RGINN, I just looked up "Chrome" in my owners manual, this is how Fuji explains it; Vivid contrast and color. Choose for vivid shots of flowers or enhanced greens and blues in landscapes. It is nasty grey and raining outside right now (has been all day) this feature works best in natural daylight. At least that is what I have found. When the weather clears in the next couple days, I will post some comparison shots in "My Daily Snapshot"..........NGE
