Since I had to be at my fav lake yesterday for a wedding, naturally I took my camera. And I was not disappointed, as usual. At around 2:30pm my wife spotted these swans and their ugly offsprings :laughing9:. Then towards sunset (after the wedding) I couldn't resist these mirror images. Enjoy......NGE

There's a Swan Lake in Tulsa, Oklahoma, once the site of an amusement park and swimming hole, but now in the middle of an influential residential area. I'll take a pic next time I am out that way. Monty

Monty, to my knowledge there are no swan lakes in Michigan. The lake in the pics is Newburgh Lake in Livonia. Mich. I just name the pic, " Swan Lake "......NGE

Naturegirl, Do you remember the fairytale about the ugly duckling? When you compare young cygnets to young duckies they are Ugly!.....larry

Larry, I know the fairy tale, I just think they are too cute. Only babies get away with being ugly and cute!

I thought you were talking about the Swan Lake in Northville off 7 mile road, not too far from Livonia. It's more like a pond than a lake, but it's nice.

Great pics!

NGE--what made that ring in the lake(last pic.)? Was it a big fish jumping up? Did you have a fishing pole with you? :laughing7:

Great pics, nge. You could have set out your line and just went down and checked it every so often, maybe.

Around here, the warden will cite you for "unattended lines" (been there, done that)
