I spent my Sunday at Lomax Station. The original buildings were built in 1853.

I took a dear friend of mine there to see this truly magical place. While checking out the old buildings a plane flew over head and the owner of the property said, "oh, that's a friend of mine, He's probably going to land...I'll be right back."


I didn't get to see the landing but was there for take-off...and it was too cool!!!!

Neat pics vibes.
That plane looks like a Piper Cub. With the big wheels on it, it probably
only needs a decent sized lawn for an airstrip ;D

Hey kiwijohn...the strip of grass is a commissioned airstrip; archangels landing.

I think it is a piper cub! But I'm not up to speed on my plane models...but it was a thrilling experience to witness the take-off in the middle of nowhere USA:)
