Large moth

We had gotten home several nights ago and my grandson said he could see a hummingbird flying around a basket of flowers in front of the house. I got my camera and took this picture. I then looked at the pictures and discovered that it was a moth but it flew just like a hummingbird and was about the same size. Thought I would post it and see if someone can tell me more about it.

Lil Nick--those are called Hawk Moths or Sphinx Moths. The larvea stage of these moths are the tobacco worm or tomato hornworm. We have them around our moon flowers in the evenings. They are also referred to as Hummingbird moths(I think?). Here's a couple of pics. my daughter took..........
