:hello: This is how we roll Shaun! ;D
We didn't make the cast but, we were in the area where they were casted.
If you want to see the good country this is where ya gotta go mostly in the States. These animals avoid you totally for the most part.

The BEST fly fishing is where these guys frequent.

It's not usually the grizzly bears you've gotta worry about... it's the smaller, and more aggressive, black bears!!!
That's a crazy massive paw print though!! I'd be a little intimidated for sure!

That is a 'big print' for sure, we have the black bear that are really making a comeback.
One Ginsing digger that I know was attacked by a cripple black bear, he hit it with his hickory handle & ran it off, another large one followed him to his truck, so he bought a pistol.
Another friend was muzzle loader hunting, & a bear chewed the seat off his four-wheeler, followed him, & charged as he was driving away.

The difference between a black bear and a grizzly is the Grizzly sees you as a threat. The black bear sees you as a meal. If attacked by a grizzly ball up and try to play dead. If attacked by a black bear fight with everything you have. I like to stick my finger in their ear it drives them crazy...... : )
That print is very humbling :notworthy:

They sell those 'bear bells' up here. To me, it's like advertising. I would run. I wouldn't have to out run the bear, just Rando.

Excellent comeback and too funny, Rando! Thank you for the choice of light calibre. As I'm being eaten, I shall take some small comfort from the fact that at least I am not dying from hydrostatic shock induced by a .44 or .45 calibre.
