Depends, Spooky. But I can safely say from the middle of May til around October, but if you want to be able to dig easily wait til the first of June til September. I started detecting the parking lot here this year in the snow and found some change, just to keep in practice. Hasn't been much of a winter here this year, as it all went south and north of us here in the central mountains.

Gotta love those RGINN postcards! Been down to northern New Mexico a couple times now to hunt and get out of this snow, only 40 miles!

Y'all got all the snow this year Doc. Did you hear about those two guys down there clearing snow off the roof and it was so much it came down and buried them and killed them? Who would have thought doing that could get you killed? Bizarre incident and a terrible way to go.

Yeah, that was to bad about those guys, I don't think they got killed, but the FD had a hard time digging them out. I think spring is finally here. We're down to about 2 1/2' of snow still on the ground. They are forecasting warm sunny days (60 degrees) next week. They have still got about 150" up around Wolf Creek Pass. Will be late june early july before I can metal detect up there.
Have a good un, Doc
