Ray, they're not wild in the sense that they're free roaming. All buffalo (excuse me, bison) are pretty much owned and maintained by somebody. This is a private herd down by Hartsell, CO. It would be cool if we still had free ranging herds in a way, but it wouldn't work in the world today. They're still wild in their hearts though. So Ray, if you get around them, don't think they'll be like domestic cattle. You could reach out pat a bull on the rump and be touching his nose, for they are the fastest animal on the earth in performing that turnaround. I hope you get to see some up close sometime, cause you'll be amazed. My pics don't do them justice. Some of those guys are 6 foot at the hump easy. Then imagine taking one down with one little arrow.
